The ETS (Electric Train Service) is KTMB’s fast intercity rail service connecting major towns and cities along the electrified West Coast railway line of Peninsular Malaysia. The current ETS network extends from Padang Besar in Perlis to JB Sentral in Johor, providing north–south rail connections through destinations including Alor Setar, Butterworth, Taiping, Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Seremban, Gemas, Kluang and Johor Bahru.

Operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB), ETS trains can reach speeds of up to 140 km/h and are among the fastest intercity rail services in Malaysia. Popular ETS journeys include KL Sentral to Ipoh, Butterworth and Padang Besar, as well as services connecting Kuala Lumpur with destinations further south.

ETS services include Platinum, Gold and Silver, while the current timetable also includes ETS Express services. Platinum services generally make fewer stops, Gold services stop at selected stations, and Silver provides a more frequent-stop service on the routes where it operates.

Important: Not every ETS train travels the entire Padang Besar–JB Sentral route or stops at every station. Passengers should check the latest timetable and their specific train before travelling.
